If you're in a bit of a reading lull about now, Her One Mistake will definitely have you soaring through the pages. She simply wasn't aware of some of the barriers so many - including her mum and dad - have encountered. Seriously, wait until the lacklustre denouement, see who plays a part in it and then see how you’ve been mislead all along. The first Women's FA Cup final Phillip played in - in 1997 - looked and felt different to the first one she watched in 1991. The main crux of the story is the secrets that each of these teens is hiding and how their lives are in danger because of them. That year, the FA voiced ambitions of establishing a women's professional league within three years. Touches upon very disturbing themes but the style of writing, the storyline and the characters are just perfect. And her characters are so relatable I find myself laughing out loud being able to picture all the scenarios and such.

Looking back on it, I see areas where I should have questioned things, but it didn’t occur to me at the time.Just when you thought the story was going one direction with the plot, it takes an unexpected turn and you can't help to find out what happens next. Charlotte has taken her children, along with her friend Harriet’s young daughter, Alice, to the park.

But apart from that, I was quite satisfied with how the book ended, and how the conflicts were resolved. The authorities are sure that Devon, their daughter committed suicide but Marcy can't accept that answer because she thinks she sees Devon in crowds everywhere. As if Amelia doesn't have enough problems, the more time passes, more of her memories are lost as she starts remembering, and this added to the anxiousness. For one thing it’s written by Canadian Joy Fielding (who has had a great deal of success in this genre). And how much Amelia learned about herself, even as she was desperately trying to hang on and figure out what happened that night. Henceforth, Amelia wakes up in Sophie’s body in the hospital after Sophie’s physical body had been passed out for a few days (doesn’t that qualify as a coma? People ask me if I wish I had started playing 10 years later but the time you get is the time you get.

Heidi Perks psychological thriller, Her One Mistake, is a chillingly, fast-paced mystery that will have you wondering where you missed that sign or clue several times throughout the book. The storyline is one that I seem to be always drawn to and where this book deals with every parent’s worst nightmare, a missing child there is a nice twist to this one that definitely made this a different reading experience for me. The main character was stupid as hell, and every single man she met wanted to have sex with her immediately. To be in a men's Premier League stadium and to go out on the field and for there to be people there who weren't just your mum and dad. Born in Toronto, Ontario, she graduated from the University of Toronto in 1966, with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature. No one would ever have thought that quiet, shy Harriet would befriend an erupting volcano like Charlotte. Two years earlier her 20-year old daughter seemingly committed suicide in a canoeing accident, but Devon's body was never found. She says: "I always got told 'girls shouldn't be playing football', 'you won't get anywhere in sport' and 'you've got to be a secretary or something like that'.
